Finally Karthik called on me, and I answered his call. Before you let your horses run wild and set your imagination soaring high, let me explain. It could be any of the Karthik, or Bharath or Shwetha or Sangitha or anyone who has the ever-so-conspicuous 'H' in their name. Yes the very letter which signifies the part of India you are in. The very letter that transcends you to another world in your own country. The very letter that makes you think twice before you type out an email id, lest you forget adding 'H' to the name. Welcome to South India.
After having spent a considerable time of my life and career in the West of India namely Mumbai and Pune, I have decided to explore new markets and South India namely Bengaluru, seemed like an opportunity not worth missing. So I took the first flight out and here I am. Still getting familiar with the city and its topography, it will take some time I guess before I settle in. The language might take longer than I think to understand. Coz every-time I go to a public place trying to eavesdrop what people around me are talking and understand them, I get myself thinking 'hey this is going to take more time than you think'.
Nevertheless now that I am here, it seems to get interesting everyday to see and explore new things which are not a commonplace in the part of country I come from. The language to the street food to the wine shops, everything functions differently here. My further blogs are going to delve deeper into my thoughts, observations and learning in this part of country. Hope to have a great new experience worth sharing with you. My common observations about general aspects will be featured here at this very blog. So watch this space for more.
Also being an ardent foodie and traveler, I have decided to start a dedicated new blog for that very purpose, http://trafood.blogspot.com It is the place to get updates on local cuisine, street food, places to travel in this part of the world and anything that excites me and my silliest thoughts on it. Bookmark it, I say rascala.
Hogibitt Barthene (Good Bye in Kannada) not bad for beginners.
